The village of Odarne is in Central-North Bulgaria, on the road Pleven-Levski, at equal distance from both towns. It is 3 kilometers away from the train station Odarne. The terrain is plain, with very generous soil. The area is also famous for the crucial battles in the Russian-Ottoman war (1877-1878), where the russians took advantage and in a result won the war. That is why there are plenty of historical monuments in the region of Odarne. The village is on a very communicative position. All the basic utilities like post-office, cafes, pubs, shops etc. are available.

The property shown is located on a walking distance from the village's center. The house is solid, brick-built, two-storeyed, in overall very good condition.
The ground floor comprises of a big glazed entrance-hall, living room, bedroom and a kitchen. As there is plenty of space, bricking-up an inner bathroom would be no problem. The Municipality

Pordim Municipality is situated in the central part of Northern Bulgaria in Pleven District. The territory of the Municipality is crossed by the railway line Sofia - Varna, the first-class road Sofia - Ruse, and by the third-class roads Pleven - Letnitsa and Slavyanovo - Lovech. It is at a distance of 20 km from the district center city of Pleven and 198 km from Sofia.
At a distance of 5 km to the south of the town Pordim is located Valchetran village, in the land of which the Valchetran golden treasure has been found; this treasure is the most remarkable monument of the late-bronze age in Bulgaria, 13 - 12 c. BC
Because Pordim is located not far from Pleven hence it is easily accessible to tourists. There are good conditions for rural tourism in the villages

The District

Pleven Region encompasses the central part of the Danube Plain and a section of the fore-Balkan Mountains. It is bounded by the regions of Vratza, Lovech and Veliko Tarnovo and north by the Danube River.

Pleven Region is a well-developed agricultural region. There are deposits of natural oil and gas near the town of Dolni Dubnik and the village of Gigen. The most important water resources in the region are the Danube River and its tributaries, the Iskar, the Vit and the Osam rivers. The region provides excellent conditions for ecotourism and balneology.

There are more than 450 archaeological and cultural sites, approximately 215 memorials of the Russian-Turkish Liberation War of 1877-1878. Life in the region can be traced for several millennia back into the past: remains from the Palaeolithic Age near the village of Muselievo; remains from the Chalcolythic Age near the villages of Telish and Todorovo, in the forest preserve Kailaka; etc.

The largest Thracian treasure dated back to the 16-12th centuries BC was discovered in 1925, in the vicinity of the village of Vulchitrun. It consists of 13 vessels of solid gold and weights a total of 12.45 kg.

A copy of the artefacts can be seen in the History Museum in Pleven, the original artefacts are kept at the National Archaeological Museum in Sofia.

The Romans constructed roads, roadside transit stations and fortresses throughout the region; the ruins of the ancient Roman fortress of Ulpia Escus can be visited near Gigen. Tsar Shishman’s Fortress in Nikopol reminds of no less turbulent period of the Middle Age.
